The Eighth Annual Professional Hospice and Palliative Care Conference will take place Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Brigham Young University Conference Center, located at 770 E. University Parkway, Provo.
Online registration is available at http://ce.byu.edu/cw/hospicecoalition/registration.php
The conference is for health care professionals who work in hospice or who want to learn more about hospice (physicians, RNs, social workers, CNAs, etc.). It is also for anyone who has seen the benefits of hospice through a family member or loved one, or anyone interested in learning about hospice.
Continuing education hours (CEUs or CMEs) will be available for physicians, nurses and social workers who attend the conference.
Speakers will include D. Wain Allen, MD, chief medical officer of the Park City Medical Center, and Gary M. Garner, MD, RPh, medical director at Intermountain Homecare Hospice and Intermountain Palliative Medicine.
The annual Professional Hospitality and Palliative Care Conference is hosted by the Utah County Hospice Coalition, which was formed by a committed alliance of local independent hospice agencies united in the quest to provide professional, quality care for every patient who qualifies for hospice.
