Positive parenting topic for guest lecturer at BYU Oct. 31

One of the most prolific scholars of developmental psychology will present a lecture on “Positive Parenting and Positive Development in Children” at Brigham Young University on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Marc H. Bornstein, senior investigator and head of child and family research for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, will speak at 5 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center’s Varsity Theater. The lecture is free and members of the public and campus community are welcome to attend.

As editor emeritus of Child Development and current editor of Parenting: Science and Practice, Bornstein is well versed in research documenting the influence of positive parenting. His own research includes the study of parental influence from infancy through adolescence.
