Popular Christmas Booktalk at BYU's Lee Library Nov. 8

The Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University will host its annual Christmas Booktalk Monday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. in the library auditorium on the first level.

The popular event has evolved over the years from a simple group discussion about the latest children's books to a large gathering where book buyers and children's literature fans can learn what's new and get a review of the latest children's literature.

The BYU Bookstore's Janice Card will present this season's newest Christmas books for children and young adults. The presentation is created with the help of Lee librarian Gabriele Kupitz and her student employees.

The booktalk kicks off Children's Book Week Nov. 15-21 sponsored by the Children's Book Council. More can be learned about Children's Book Week from the council's website at www.cbcbooks.org/cbw, or by inquiring at the Lee Library's Juvenile Books section on the library's fourth level.

The event is open to everyone with free bibliography of the new books available for all attendees.

For more information, contact Gabriele Kupitz at the Lee Library, (801) 422-6735.
