Popular BYU Percussion Ensemble, Panoramic Steel perform April 8

The Brigham Young University School of Music will present the Percussion Ensemble and Panoramic Steel under the direction of Ron Brough in concert Friday, April 8, in the de Jong Concert Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center

Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322, byuarts.com/tickets.

The Percussion Ensemble will open with "Un Poco Loco" by Tom Miller featuring BYU Synthesis big band director Ray Smith on flute. Smith will also solo on saxophone in "Izo’s Mood" by Andy Narell.
The ensemble will also perform "Three Wishes" by Chris Tanner, "Roundabout Ways" by Tom Miller featuring Will Kimball on trombone, and will close with "My Band" by Ray Holman.

Brough will then direct Panoramic Steel in “ZZZZing” by Till MacIvor Meyn, "Sculpture in Wood" by Ruediger Pawassar and "Colored Windows, Tempered Rooms" by Baljinder Singh Sekhon II

This musical event is the 153rd performance sponsored by the BYU School of Music during the 2010–2011 season.
