PBS' Mr. Steve to help KBYU Eleven celebrate "Read Across America" Day March 1-2

Mr. Steve, host of PBS Kids, will join Brigham Young University’s KBYU Eleven and United Way of Utah County for a concert to celebrate "Read Across America Day," with events starting Thursday, March 1, at 5 p.m. and Friday, March 2, at 9:30 a.m. at the BYU Broadcasting Building.

Tickets to the event are free but limited, and reservations are required. Visitors will have the chance to get a picture with Mr. Steve along with his autograph. Visit kbyueleven.org/specialevents to make a reservation or to learn more. The BYU Broadcasting Building is located just east of the Marriott Center on campus.

The National Education Association has celebrated "Read Across America Day" for 14 years on March 2, which is Dr. Seuss’s birthday. KBYU Eleven will also air a two-hour marathon of “The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!” with two new episodes Friday beginning at 7 a.m.

Steve Roslonke of SteveSongs has been writing and performing his award-winning music for kids and families for the past 11 years and has been co-host of PBS Kids since 2008. Mr. Steve blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies to create what the Boston Globe called “not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one.”
