ORCA plans proposal-writing workshops for undergraduates Sept. 25-26

Continuing Brigham Young University’s focus on mentored student research, the Office of Research and Creative Activities (ORCA) will host four proposal-writing workshops aimed at teaching undergraduates the basics of how to write a grant or research proposal.

Two workshops will be held for general proposal writing on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in the Varsity Theater and on Friday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. in 3380 Wilkinson Student Center.

Workshops covering proposal writing for the sciences will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 3 p.m. in 3380 WSC and on Friday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. in the Varsity Theater.

All undergraduates may attend. To register, send an e-mail to byu_mentoring@byu.edu.

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
