Nominations for BYU Student Employee of the Year due Feb. 24

To honor and recognize the student work experience, Brigham Young University will celebrate National Student Employee Week, March 28 to April 1. During the week the BYU Student Employee of the Year and runners-up will be announced.

Nominations by campus employers are due online by Thursday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m.

Each department can submit names online at byu.edu/hr/managers/manager-resources/award-nominations/student-employee-year. To be eligible, the nominee must be a current BYU student employee who has completed, or expects to complete, at least six months part-time or three months full-time employment between June 1, 2010, and May 31, 2011.

The student selected will be nominated for the state and regional competition. The university will honor all nominees with a certificate of appreciation, and the nominating departments are encouraged to take an appropriate opportunity to recognize all of their student employees as well as their nominated students.

Each year during the National Student Employee Week, colleges and universities around the country recognize the importance of student work experience. BYU Student Employment has many activities planned to show its appreciation.
