Neal Cox to be BYU devotional speaker Oct. 1

Neal Cox, associate dean of students at Brigham Young University, will give an address titled “And They Did Fellowship One With Another” at a campus devotional Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast information can be found through byutv.org/schedule. Archived devotionals are available at speeches.byu.edu.

Cox joined the BYU Student Leadership staff in 2007. He previously served as the associate vice president and dean of students at Southern Utah University. He is a career educator with teaching experience at four seminaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and administrative assignments at Snow College and the LDS Church College of Western Samoa.

His love for students and desire for them to succeed and have happy school life is well shown in the fact that he has served as a club or student government advisor at every school where he has worked.

Cox has also been significantly involved with community and Church affairs throughout his life, including services as an LDS Mission President in the Illinois Chicago Mission from 1995 to 1998.

He is a graduate of Snow College and Utah State University with graduate degrees from BYU.
