Museum of Peoples, Cultures resumes popular FHE activity Sept. 9

The Museum of Peoples and Cultures at Brigham Young University will resume its popular family home evening activity, "FHE at the MPC," every second and fourth Monday at 7 p.m. beginning Sept. 9.

The price for FHE student groups and family groups under 15 people is $5. Appointments should be made by noon the day of the scheduled FHE by calling (801) 422-1414. The museum is located at 100 E. 700 N. in Provo.

Participants of all ages will come into the museum and experience a night of fun and learning. The activity includes a tour of the exhibits, a craft for individuals to take home and a treat to end the evening.

The museum hosts events to serve the academic mission of BYU and care for the anthropological, archaeological and ethnographic collections in the custody of the university. It educates visitors by branching out in creative ways to benefit the BYU and local community.

Current exhibits include “Mexican Masks: Concealing Faces, Revealing Expressions” and “Entwined: A Vibrant Heritage of the Modern Maya.”

For more information, visit facebook.com/byu.mpc or mpc.byu.edu. Regular museum hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Saturday and Sunday.
