Museum of Peoples, Cultures hosts "Survivor Date Night" Oct. 3

On Friday, Oct. 3, BYU’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures will host a "Survivor Date Night" where dates will test their ability to survive in an ancient world. The activity will be held twice that evening at 7 and 9 p.m.

Upon arrival, guests will be divided into teams. Contests will include a timed hunt for shells in a sand pit, a relay race to rebuild a broken pot and a trivia question round.

“The competition factor is what makes this date night so exciting,” said Erika Riggs, promotions manager for the museum. “Couples get to know each other on a whole new level once the challenges begin. They really get into the survivor theme, and since it’s such a unique date night everyone always has a good time.”

At the end of the evening the top three couples will receive prizes.

Tickets are $5 per person and are available at the Wilkinson Student Center Information Desk.

The museum is located at 700 N. 100 E. in Provo. Regular hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For more information, visit mpc.byu.edu, or contact Erika Riggs at mpc@byu.edu or (801) 422-0020.
