Museum of Peoples, Cultures hosts "Sphinxes and Sweethearts" Date Night Aug. 7

Have you ever wanted to mummify your date? Now you can at the Brigham Young University Museum of Peoples and Cultures’ “Sphinxes and Sweethearts” Date Night Friday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. at the museum, located at 700 North 100 East in Provo.

“This date night will be a unique experience,” said Anna McKean, promotions assistant at the MPC. “It gives a break from the typical movie-and-popcorn type of date.”

Couples can participate in Egyptian-themed activities like playing Pyramid and Balderdash, participating in a mummy-wrapping contest and learning the craft of hieroglyphics. Egyptian-themed refreshments and prizes will also be available.

Tickets are $10 per couple and can be purchased at the Information Desk in the Wilkinson Student Center beginning Aug. 3.
