Merrill J. Bateman to keynote BYU Easter Conference March 22

The 2008 BYU Easter Conference will be held on Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium at Brigham Young University. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

President Merrill J. Bateman, emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and president of the Provo, Utah Temple, will be the keynote speaker. His remarks will focus on “The Lessons of the Atonement.”

Following President Bateman, Camille Fronk Olson, associate professor of ancient scripture, will speak on “Women and the Savior.” The final speaker, S. Kent Brown, professor of ancient scripture, will conclude with “The Family and Jesus’ Life and Teachings.”

Special instrumental and vocal presentations will also be featured during the conference.
