MDT Showcase at BYU features music from Broadway Feb. 8-9

Performances from the musicals "Wicked," "Children of Eden" and "The Color Purple" are all part of the show during the popular Music/Dance/Theatre Showcase at 7 and 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 8-9, in the Madsen Recital Hall at Brigham Young University.

Tickets are on sale now for $9 or $6 with a BYU or student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting artix.byu.edu.

The show is titled "Ain't it Good," and will open with two numbers from "Little Women." First, BYU voice faculty member Gayle Lockwood will sing "Days of Plenty," and then Mimi Knell and Carolyn Hartvigsen will sing "Some Things are Meant to Be."

The rest of the show will feature a quartet called High Flight, a performance by Josephine Scere of "BYU Idol" renown, a song from "Spamalot" and a quartet that will recreate the sounds of the Four Seasons as they sing "Sherry" from "Jersey Boys."
