McKay School hosts Instructional Leadership Conference March 9-11 in SLC

"Forever Strong" Larry Gelwix, NYT's David Pogue keynote speakers

The David O. McKay School of Education and the Brigham Young University-Public School Partnership will present the Sixth Biannual Instructional Leadership in the 21st Century Conference Wednesday through Friday, March 9-11, at the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.

Registration will be open all three days of the conference beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday and at 7 a.m. both Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $299 for individuals and $249 to partnership districts and teams of five or more. Register online at nebo.edu/register.

Keynote speaker Larry Gelwix, the Highland High School rugby coach who inspired the movie “Forever Strong,” will open the conference Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Other keynote speakers include David Pogue, personal technology columnist for The New York Times; Linda Darling-Hammond, the Charles E. Ducommun Professor of Education at Stanford University; and David Sousa, international consultant in neuroscience education.
