Marriott School's Kaye Hanson at BYU devotional Dec. 3

Kaye Hanson, associate director of Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management's master of business administration program, will speak at a university devotional Tuesday (Dec. 3) at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), KBYU-FM (89.1) the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and at broadcasting.byu.edu. It will be rebroadcast Sunday, Dec. 8., at 6 and 11 a.m. on KBYU-TV, on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on KBYU-FM at 8 p.m.

Hanson earned her bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from BYU. She has taught German, English, theatre, communications, presentation skills and business writing in several different educational institutions, primarily BYU.

Currently the public relations director for the Marriott School, she has been a faculty member at BYU since 1980.

A professional speaker, Hanson has developed and taught oral-presentation seminars in dozens of corporations around the country.

Making fashion out of art: Students hit the runway with designs inspired by BYU Museum of Art exhibit

BYU students recently showcased fashion and makeup designs in a runway show at the Museum of Art. They each designed and modeled a look inspired by one of the paintings on exhibit from an art museum in Puerto Rico. On display until Jan. 3, The Sense of Beauty: Six Centuries of Painting from Museo de Arte de Ponce showcases world-class art that reflects the innate beauty of the human experience.

The team of BYU engineers placed 86 Bluetooth devices throughout a 50-hectare field near Elberta, Utah, to measure water levels across every inch of the field. Placing this many sensors in a commercial field is unprecedented and allows researchers to see unique patterns that have never before been captured.
