The Brigham Young University Philharmonic Orchestra will perform with Kory Katseanes conducting Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

The Philharmonic will open the concert with "The Plaza" by Trevor Reed, a BYU senior from Seattle majoring in music composition. The piece is based on Native American dance themes.
The orchestra will also play pieces by Maurice Ravel including "Mother Goose Suite" and "Pavane for a Dead Princess."
The Philharmonic Orchestra's mission is to perform the great masterpieces of the symphonic literature. The orchestra consists almost entirely of music majors, both undergraduate and graduate students.
