Jeff Fox new associate director of BYU Center for Teaching and Learning

Russell T. Osguthorpe, director of the BYU Center for Teaching and Learning, has appointed Jeff Fox as an associate director of the center. His duties will focus on all aspects associated with the BYU Learning Suite, to be implemented during winter semester 2012.

With this appointment, associate directors Larry Seawright and Trav Johnson will continue to focus on tool production and faculty development, respectively.

Cary Johnson and Lyndell Lutes will report to Fox as implementation coordinators. They will watch over the hiring, training and deployment of the 50 to 70 students who will join CTL as implementation assistants.

"As a center, we are now moving from initial product development phase into an implementation phase that will be as important to the success of the product as was its original design and development," said Osguthorpe.

"The potential of this tool for helping improve student learning cannot be overstated. It will help faculty and students directly, as well as provide us with a vehicle to assist faculty and students in their efforts to strengthen their abilities in learning and teaching," he said.

For more information, contact the Center for Teaching and Learning, ext. 2-8180, or visit ctl.byu.edu.
