Brigham Young University School of Music professors Jaren Hinckley and Eric Hansen will perform together Wednesday, March 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Hansen will perform the double bass and Hinckley will perform the clarinet. The concert will include pieces by Giovanni Bottesini, Morton Gould and Franz Josef Haydn.
Jayne Galloway will assist Hansen and Hinckley on the piano.
Hinckley has a master's degree in clarinet performance from Indiana University and a doctor of music degree from Florida State University. He has performed with the Manhattan School of Music Philharmonia, the Utah Symphony and the Canyonlands New Music Ensemble.
Hansen received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. He also did two years of doctoral studies at the University of Maryland-College Park. He has played with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Winnipeg Chamber Music Society, Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and the National Chamber Orchestra in Washington, D.C.
