Harvard's Clayton M. Christensen at BYU forum July 22

Clayton M. Christensen, a professor of business administration at the Harvard Business School, will be featured at a Brigham Young University forum Tuesday, July 22, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

The forum will be broadcast live on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), KBYU-FM (89.1), the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and at www.broadcasting.byu.edu. It will be rebroadcast Sunday, July 27, at 6 and 11 a.m. on KBYU-TV, and on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and at 8 p.m. on KBYU-FM.

Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, with a joint appointment in the Technology and Operations Management and General Management faculty groups. His research and teaching interests center on management issues related to the development and commercialization of technological and business model innovation. Specific areas of focus include developing organizational capabilities and finding new markets for new technologies.

Professor Christensen holds a bachelor's degree with highest honors in economics from Brigham Young University and a Master of Philosophy in applied econometrics and the economics of less-developed countries from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He received a Master of Business Administration with high distinction from the Harvard Business School, graduating as a George F. Baker Scholar. He was awarded his Doctor of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Christensen serves as an area authority seventy in the North America Northeast area.
