Hal Heaton to present BYU devotional June 21

Hal B. Heaton, a professor of business management in the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, will speak Tuesday, June 21, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall for a campus devotional.

The title of this devotional is "What is Truth?"

Live broadcasts are available on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU-Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU-Radio and at byubroadcasting.org as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center. Heaton serves as a consultant to a number of multinational organizations on issues such as corporate finance, valuation and capital markets. He also serves as an expert witness in hearings and court proceedings for business-related cases.

He served on the finance faculty at the Harvard Business School and Santa Clara University.

Heaton received a master's degree in economics as well as a doctoral degree in finance from Stanford University. He also received his bachelor's degree from BYU in mathematics and computer science along with an MBA.

Following the completion of his MBA, Heaton served as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, where he dealt with strategic planning issues for major firms.
