Guest artist Michelle Stebleton to present horn recital at BYU Jan. 28

Guest artist Michelle Stebleton, associate professor of horn at Florida State University, will appear in recital at Brigham Young University Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center.

The recital is free, and the community is welcome.

The evening will feature a performance of “The Hunt,” a new work by BYU School of Music faculty member Laurence Lowe for two horns, piano and percussion. It depicts a primitive manhunt to the death.

A six-time prize winner of the American Horn Competition, Stebleton has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and South America as a chamber artist and clinician. She has also made multiple appearances as a guest artist and lecturer at International Horn Society symposia.

For more information, contact Laurence Lowe at (801) 422-3318 or larry_lowe@byu.edu.
