Gliadkovsky to give free organ, harpsichord, piano recital March 11

The Brigham Young University School of Music will present guest artist Kirill Gliadkovsky Tuesday, March 11, at 8:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The recital will feature Gliadkovsky on organ, harpsichord and piano, performing works by Bortniansky, Taneyev, Medtner and Mussorgsky.

Gliadkovsky has toured extensively on three continents performing piano and organ recitals and as a soloist with orchestras in various cities in Russia as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, Mongolia, Canada, Japan and throughout the United States. His popularity is growing fast as a featured artist on numerous live TV and radio broadcasts on networks such as NPR, CBS and PBS. He has recorded six CDs for Alexei Records and CMK Classics labels.  

Gliadkovsky earned his master’s and doctor of musical arts degrees at the University of Southern California and was on the faculty at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah for four years. Currently, Gliadkovsky teaches at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif.
