Foreign service careers topic of Sept. 20 BYU lecture

Robert B. Laing, senior foreign service officer and diplomat-in-residence at Arizona State University, will present a lecture titled “Foreign Service Officers: Careers and Lifestyles” Thursday, Sept. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building at Brigham Young University.

Admission to the lecture is free, and the public is welcome. BYU students interested in foreign Service careers are especially encouraged to attend.Prior to his post at ASU, Laing was the senior cultural affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China.

  This lecture is sponsored by BYU Career Placement Services, the Foreign Service Student Organization and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies.
