Failure of economic models subject of BYU lecture March 3

Economics writer Richard Bronk will speak at Brigham Young University Wednesday, March 3, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

A researcher of political history and economy, Bronk will address “Understanding the Economic Crisis: The Romantic Economist on Why Models Failed Us.”

Bronk is a visiting fellow at the European Institute in the London School of Economics, where he lectures on varieties of capitalism, the European Union and Economic and Monetary Union enlargement as well as theoretical concepts in political economies.

He writes and researches with particular expertise in the history of ideas, philosophy of economics, comparative corporate governance and European political economy.

Bronk also worked for 17 years in London with positions at Baring Asset Management, Merrill Lynch and the Bank of England.
