Faculty, staff must renew Richards Building, Fieldhouse lockers by Friday, Feb. 29

The BYU faculty/staff locker renewal deadline for the Smith Fieldhouse and the Richards Building is Friday, Feb. 29. Lockers may be renewed at the Information Desk, 112 RB, Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. The renewal fee is $25 and includes the use of the locker, clothing and facilities and, as a bonus, a laundry service.

Beginning Monday, March 3, unrenewed lockers will be cleaned out and reassigned.

A recent BYU study, led by nursing professor Corinna Trujillo Tanner, examined social isolation in an especially vulnerable group — older adults with vision and hearing impairments. Researchers say the results, showing higher social connection in US Hispanic and Mexican older adults, can be explained by the shared ethnic cultural value of familismo that prioritizes family, respect for the elders, and reliance on one another for essential support.
