Elder L. Tom Perry at Church Education Fireside Nov. 2

Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at a Church Educational System fireside Sunday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. in the Marriott Center on the Brigham Young University campus.

The fireside will be broadcast live on the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and on BYUBroadcasting.org.

It will be rebroadcast Sunday, Nov. 9, on KBYU (Channel 11) at 6 and 11 a.m., on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., on KBYU-FM (89.1) at 8 p.m. and on BYU-Radio at 6 a.m.

Elder Perry was called to serve as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve April 6, 1974, after serving as an Assistant to the Twelve since 1972.

Elder Perry has also served as a stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, bishopric member, high councilor and full-time missionary.

He received his bachelor's degree in finance from Utah State University and spent his professional career in retail business, serving as vice president and treasurer in companies in Idaho, California, New York and Massachusetts.
