DMBA Open Enrollment, FSA sign-up available through Nov. 30

Now through Nov. 30, campus personnel can change their medical/dental plan enrollment to a different DMBA-sponsored plan (ManagedCare, NetworkCare, BasicCare or Altius). BasicCare has specific enrollment restrictions. Enrollment changes may only be made online with DMBA or through its automated phone system. Please refer to the enrollment materials mailed to you from DMBA.

Campus personnel may also set up a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2006 to receive a tax savings on out-of-pocket medical/dental expenses or dependent childcare (daycare) through Nov. 30. This may be done online with DMBA or through its automated phone system. You may contact the BYU Benefits Office for assistance, D-240 ASB, ext. 2-4716.

DMBA representatives will be on campus to present meetings focused on changes to the DMBA plans. These meetings will last approximately one hour and will be held at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the Varsity Theater on Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 9-11; in 3228 Wilkinson Student Center on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 17 and in 3280 WSC on Friday, Nov. 18.

Due to the changes in the medical and retirement plans, all full-time campus personnel are encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Premium rates for 2006 will be discussed along with changes to the following: medical plan deductible, preauthorization policy, prescription plan, dental plan, disability plan, flexible spending plan and spouse group term life. The addition of a Roth 401(k) savings option will also be presented.
