David A. Hunt to speak on adversity during Aug. 8 BYU devotional

David A. Hunt, Brigham Young University assistant administrative vice president for Student Auxiliary Services, will deliver a devotional address Tuesday, Aug. 8, in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center.

In his address, “Fresh Courage Take,” he will discuss the necessity of opposition and adversity in the course of our eternal progression, and the blessings and hope that come from trials, according to Hunt.

Live broadcasts will be available on the KBYU networks, as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium, F-201 Harris Fine Arts Center and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center.

Rebroadcast information is available at byubroadcasting.org.

David Hunt began his career at BYU in 1980 as an assistant manager of Helaman Halls, was promoted to director of Housing Services in 1993, and was named assistant administrative vice president for Student Auxiliary Services (SAS) in 1998.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from BYU in 1977. In 1997 he received his master of public administration degree, also from BYU.
