Date night activity at BYU Museum of Peoples, Cultures June 6

On Friday June 6, the Museum of Peoples and Cultures at Brigham Young University will host "Culture-Me-Mine," a date night activity designed to test the creativity of those who attend.

The date will begin with a tour of the museum’s two current exhibits, "Touching the Past: Traditions of Casas Grandes" and "Kachinas of the Southwest: Dances, Dolls and Rain."

Couples will then compete for prizes as they play games such as "Museum Scavenger Hunt" and "Couple Feud." Participants will also be encouraged to get their hands dirty during a pottery-making competition, and prizes will be awarded for those who are most creative with their clay. Refreshments will be provided.

“Culture-Me-Mine is an amazing date night,” said Heidi Kartchner, a museum employee. “It’s unique and affordable, but most importantly, it’s so much fun.”

There are two available sessions on Friday at 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Tickets are $5 per person and are available at the Information Desk in the Wilkinson Student Center.

The date will be held at the museum which is located at 700 North 100 East in Provo. For more information, call (801) 422-0020.
