"Cougarettes in Concert 2007" at BYU Feb. 1-3

BYU's national champion precision dance team

"Cougarettes in Concert 2007" will take the stage Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 1-3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pardoe Theatre in the Harris Fine Arts Center at Brigham Young University. There will be a matinee performance on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting artix.byu.edu.

The six-time National Champions will perform artistic visual jazz numbers, energetic hip hop, character dance, moving lyrical selections and a ballet number en pointe.

"The variety of February's program makes the show appealing to audiences," said artistic director Jodi Maxfield. "The show will include past award-winning numbers along with new material."

The Cougarettes set the standard for elite collegiate dance teams. The theme will be "A Look Back," and will feature work by award-winning guest choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo, John Peters and Kellie Messerly.

For more information, contact Jodi Maxfield at (801) 422-3271 or jodi_maxfield@byu.edu.
