Cougar Marching Band in concert Nov. 10

Brigham Young University’s Cougar Marching Band will perform in a concert Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets at $6 are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322, or online at byuarts.com.

The band, directed by Fred McInnis, has been performing since 1908. Since then they have garnished a reputation as the “power of the Wasatch” with their music echoing off the mountains at each home football game. The band has also performed in many bowl games, including the Cotton Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl and Holiday Bowl.

The band consists of 225 student-musicians from all over the United States and the world and performs during pregame and halftime shows at every BYU home football game. The BYU Cougar Marching Band also proudly features a dynamic and accomplished Drumline Battery of about 25-30 members, as well as a Color Guard and Flag/Rifle Line composed of about 30 members.

For more information regarding the performance, contact Fred McInnis at (801) 422-3420.
