College of Engineering and Technology will host career fair Oct. 5

The Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology at Brigham Young University is hosting a fall career fair on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

More than 100 companies — a record number for the college — will be attending to recruit students from the College of Engineering and Technology for internships and full-time employment.

Interested students should visit www.et.byu.edu/news/2006/september/career_fair.html for an updated list of companies that will be attending the career fair.

I love to see the temple… but I need a microscope

In honor of BYU’s 150th anniversary, electrical engineering professor Greg Nordin and student Callum Galloway have created 150 microscopic replicas of existing LDS temples, all on a 12-by-19 millimeter microchip. Each of these unique temples — 150 different floor plans to celebrate 150 years of BYU — is less than a grain of rice in length.
