Zhou Wenzhong, Chinese ambassador to the United States, will present a Brigham Young University Area Focus Lecture, titled “China-U.S. Relations,” on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. in 250 Spencer W. Kimball Tower.
Zhou was appointed ambassador on April 14, 2005, following a distinguished diplomatic career. He previously served as assistant to the foreign minister and then as vice foreign minister, ambassador to Australia, China’s envoy to the U.S., consul general in Los Angeles and various other positions within the Beijing Diplomats Service Bureau.
He studied at Bath University and the London School of Economics.
