Career Exploration Expo at BYU Sept. 21

For students in the liberal arts and social sciences

Students in the liberal arts and social sciences can explore professions at the Brigham Young University Career Exploration Expo Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in 3228 Wilkinson Student Center.

Free pizza will be provided. Because this is an informational seminar for the exploration of possible careers and not a job fair, students are encouraged to leave their resumes at home.

“The career expo is designed to give students an opportunity to ‘taste test’ different career operations and get a feel for what it takes to get into a certain career or industry,” said Shane Jorgenson, assistant director of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences Advisement Center.

Representatives in the career areas of business, public service, research and consulting, human resources/project management, international development, museums, government intelligence, social services and editing/writing/publishing will be present to answer questions and provide information.

The expo will be hosted by the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences in conjunction with the College of Humanities and the Kennedy Center for International Studies. For information, please visit fhss.byu.edu or contact David Waddell at (801) 422-6084.
