BYU's Ron Brough to present faculty percussion recital Sept. 28

Brigham Young University School of Music faculty member Ron Brough will present a percussion recital on Friday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission to the recital is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The program will include “Grand Fantasy in C major,” “The Final Precipice,” “Chega de Saudade,” “Rebellion,” “There is No Greater Love,” “The Recital Piece,” “Back Talk” and “Minute Waltz.”

Brough will be assisted by Will Kimball on trombone, Scott Holden and Steve Lindeman on piano, Ray Smith on flute, Jay Lawrence on percussion and Lars Yorgason on bass.

Brough is the division coordinator for Jazz Studies at BYU’s School of Music and the artistic director for the BYU Percussion Ensemble and Panoramic Steel. He has performed with the Utah Chamber Orchestra, the Pioneer Memorial Theatre Orchestra, Ballet West, the Utah Opera Company and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
