BYU Young Artists of Voice competition scheduled Jan. 10, 12, 14

The Young Artists of Voice competition, featuring top student talent from Brigham Young University’s School of Music, will be held in three rounds Jan. 10, 12 and 14 at 7:30 at the Madsen Recital Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center.

Preliminary rounds, which are free and open to the public, will be held Jan. 10 and 12.

The final round and awards presentation will take place on Jan. 14. Tickets are required and are available for purchase for $6 online at byuarts.com/tickets, by phone at (801) 422-4322 or in person at the Harris Fine Arts Center Ticket Office.

Each year, the top 25 vocal performance students are invited to participate. Eight different awards will be given, with the top male and top female each receiving the Nancy Peery Marriott Singer of the Year Award.

He has particular expertise in the planning, design, construction and operation of public water systems. That expertise has been increasingly important (and regularly sought out) in the wake of apocalyptic wildfires that have taxed those public water systems.
