BYU Women's Chorus plans concert March 16

More than 150 students will perform under the direction of Jean Applonie during the Women's Chorus spring concert Wednesday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University.

Tickets are $9 with $3 off with a BYU or student ID. For tickets, call the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 378-4322.

The concert features a Utah premiere of Z. Randall Stoope's "Psalm 23" for women's chorus. Also featured in the program is last year's favorite, "If You Could Hie to Kolob," and "The Spell of Creation," which is part of a full set of "Spells" set to three charming and poignant texts.

The Women's Chorus will end the program with a tribute to men featuring "How Do I Love Thee" for lovers, "Bonny Wood Green" for soldiers and "The Erie Canal" for builders.
