BYU Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band in concert Dec. 1

The Brigham Young University Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band with David Blackinton and Don Peterson conducting will perform Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Admission is $6 for students and $9 for the public.

The Wind Symphony will play "Overture For Band" by John Heins, "Liebestod" by Richard Wagner, "Marche Militaire Francaise" by Camille Saint-Saens, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by Jerry Bilik and "La Gazza Ladra" by Gioacchino Rossini.

The Symphonic Band will play "Second Suite in F" by Gustav Holst, "Third Suite" by Robert Jager, "A Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson and "All Creatures of Our God and King" by Claude Smith.

The Wind Symphony has received national recognition and has performed in Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Finland and the China People's Republic of China.
