BYU Wind Symphony to perform April 9

The Brigham Young University Wind Symphony, conducted by Donald Peterson, will perform in concert Thursday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m., in the de Jong Concert Hall. The event will also be streamed live at liveconcerts.byu.edu.

Tickets are $10, with $1 off for seniors and alumni and $4 off for students, and can be purchased in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center, by phone 801.422.2981 or online at byuarts.com.

The Wind Symphony will present a "bon voyage" concert prior to embarking on their spring tour to Japan, South Korea and Mongolia.

The performance will feature Dance of the Jesters by Peter I. Tchaikovsky, Guisganderie by Faustin et Maurice Jeanjean, Beyond by Dylan Findley, Danzon No. 2 by Arturo Marquez and other numbers.

The BYU Wind Symphony is comprised of the finest woodwind, brass and percussion players at the university and has an extremely active concert season. In recent years, the Wind Symphony has performed in the British Isles, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, the Baltic States and Russia, as well as throughout the Northwest United States and Canada.
