BYU Travel Study to host Richard Gunn in lecture series

A Brigham Young University professor emeritus of art history and world travel expert will be the featured speaker at a series of three lectures sponsored by BYU Travel Study beginning Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the BYU Conference Center auditorium.

Richard L. Gunn has directed tours with BYU Travel Study for 48 years, with more than 100 tours to his credit. He will discuss the theme "The World Is Our Campus."

The public is welcome to attend this free event.

BYU Travel Study hopes to further its mission through the lecture series to educate and enlighten others about the world in which they live.

Gunn has extensive experience directing and guiding tours throughout the world. He guided the first student tour into China in 1979. Gunn was also in Germany as the Berlin Wall was being erected.

Gunn will share experiences about some of his favorite places to visit, such as the British Museum in London.

Other lectures by Gunn will take place on Dec. 9 and Jan. 12 at the same location and time.
