BYU Theater and Media Arts to perform "The Winter's Tale"

The Brigham Young University Department of Theatre and Media Arts will present William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale in the Pardoe Theatre of the Harris Fine Arts Center starting Friday, March 20, through Friday, April 3, with additional Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15, with discounts available for seniors, alumni and students, and can be purchased in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center, by phone 801.422.2981 or online at byuarts.com. Saturday matinee tickets are $8 for all seats.

Directed by Lindsay Livingston, The Winter's Tale is a tragicomedy where myth and misunderstanding intersect as a cast of colorful and passionate characters search for their happy ending in one of Shakespeare's last plays.

The cast for The Winter's Tale features Alex Diaz as Florizel, Ann Lopez as Paulina, Anne Flinders as Emilia, Collette Astle as Mopsa, Dallin Halls as Cleomenes, Eric Stroud as Camillo, Ester Pielstick as Dorcas, James Luciano as Leontes, James McKinney as Antigonus, Mackenzie Larsen as Hermione, McKenzie Foster as Mamillius/Perdita, Mirium Bay as Archiamus, Nathan Johnson as Dion, Patrick Livingston as Autolycus, Soren Barker as Polixenes and Whitney Uland as Time.

The technical crew includes choreographer Graham Brown, scenic designer Josh Fawcett, costume designer Mary Farahnakian, makeup and hair designer Michaela Fordham and dramaturg Rick Curtiss.
