BYU Symphony Orchestra in concert Nov. 30

Brigham Young University’s School of Music will present its Symphony Orchestra in a concert Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets at $6 are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322, or online at byuarts.com/tickets.

The orchestra will be conducted by Christian Smith and assisted on viola by faculty member Claudine Bigelow. The orchestra will begin the concert with Bach’s famous “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and finish with Cesar Franck’s Symphony in D Minor.

The Symphony Orchestra is the preparatory orchestra in the School of Music. The symphony shares the responsibilities of collaborating with the ensemble concerts presented in the school, as well as performing regularly with musical theatre productions.
