BYU Symphony Orchestra in concert Dec. 4

The Brigham Young University School of Music will present a Symphony Orchestra performance conducted by Eric Hansen on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Admission to the concert will be free and the public is welcome to attend.

The program will include “American Salute” by Morton Gould, “Elegy for Orchestra” by John Corigliano, Peter Warlock’s “Capriol Suite” and the Symphonic Variations for Piano and Orchestra by Cesar Franck featuring guest artist Danielle Christianson.

The ensemble will also perform “Night on the Bare Mountain” by Modest Mussorgsky, “Sarabande for Katherine in April” by Ron Nelson, “Second Essay for Orchestra” by Samuel Barber and “March” from “Superman” by John Williams.
