BYU students, faculty honored at international facilities association meeting

Brigham Young University students and faculty came home with honors after attending the International Facility Management Association's 2006 World Workplace Conference and Expo Oct. 8-10 in San Diego.

BYU associate professor of technology Jeffery L. Campbell was given the “Distinguished Author - Instructional Material” award, and BYU’s student chapter was declared the Chapter of the Year.

An organization that is heavily involved in certifying facility managers and conducting related research, IFMA supports more than 18,000 members in 60 countries worldwide. More than 5,000 registrants and chapters from Hong Kong, Silicon Valley, Delaware, Tulsa and Phoenix attended the conference.
