BYU Spring Orchestra to highlight American composers during June 9 concert

The Brigham Young University Orchestra conducted by Kory Katseanes will perform its spring concert Thursday, June 9, in the de Jong Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The event is free and the public is invited.

The 69-member orchestra will present the overture to “Candide” by Leonard Bernstein, “Cinderella Waltz” by Richard Rodgers, “Buckaroo Holiday” by Aaron Copland, the Pavane from “American Symphonette No. 2” by Morton Gould and “Symphonic Picture” from “Porgy and Bess” by George Gershwin.
