BYU Single Alumni to host service day Sept. 23

September 12, 2006

BYU Single Alumni will welcome single employees and friends age 31 or older for a day of service, including lunch and entertainment, on Saturday, Sept. 23.

“Especially for Singles — Each One Making a Difference” will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Terrace. Bill Hulterstrom, president of United Way for Utah County, will speak and the LDS music group, “After the Storm,” will perform while attendees complete service projects.

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
