BYU plans office professionals conference March 12-14

The Annual OPAC Conference for all Brigham Young University office professionals, this year titled “Be Not Afraid, Only Believe,” will be held Wednesday through Friday, March 12-14.

The opening session Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Varsity Theatre will feature keynote speakers R. Kirk and Karen Strong, who will discuss "The Fortification of the Temple.” The conference will also include classes, brown bag luncheons, entertainment and a closing luncheon.

BYU study finds the real reasons why some people choose not to use artificial intelligence

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
