BYU plans Annual University Conference Aug. 25-28

General Session, breakfast on Tuesday, Aug. 26

The 2008 Brigham Young University Annual Conference will be held Monday through Thursday, Aug. 25-28. The theme this year, “In Thy Light Shall We See Light,” is taken from Psalms 36:9.

The conference is a non-student event for the university community, including administration, faculty and staff, both full- and part-time, under the direction of President Cecil O. Samuelson. It is a time for the BYU community to come together for edification, training and camaraderie.

The General Session will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with a breakfast preceding the session from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Brigham Square. As the breakfast is a ticketed event and only for non-student BYU employees, reservations for tickets can be made at the AUC Web site — http://unicomm.byu.edu/president/AUC/ — beginning Monday, July 21, at 9 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m. on Friday, August. 15. The complete conference agenda and breakfast menu are posted at that site.

For employees who do not have personal access to the Internet, breakfast reservations can be made through their department secretaries.

Members of the campus community should consult their department and division heads about other meetings scheduled throughout the week.
