BYU Philharmonic Orchestra set to perform evening of Feb. 18

The Brigham Young University Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Kory Katseanes, will perform Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets are $10 for the public, $9 for alumni and senior citizens, and $6 for students. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322, byuarts.com/tickets.

This year’s concert will feature works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Strauss, including “Ein Heldenleben, Strauss’s last great work. “Ein Heldenleben” means “A Hero’s Life,” in English. The concert will feature the part of the piece called “The Hero’s Battlefield.”

The Philharmonic features nearly 100 of the university's top student instrumentalists who regularly perform a wide and demanding repertoire.

He has particular expertise in the planning, design, construction and operation of public water systems.
