BYU Philharmonic Orchestra to perform April 10

The Brigham Young University School of Music will present the Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Kory Katseanes, in concert Friday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall. The event will also be streamed live at liveconcerts.byu.edu.

Tickets are $10, with $1 of for seniors and alumni and $4 off for students, and can be purchased in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center, by phone 801.422.2981 or online at byuarts.com.

The program will open with Overture to Die Meistersinger from Wagner, followed by Maurice Ravel's Bolero and concluding with Symphony No. 5 from Sergei Prokofiev.

The Philharmonic Orchestra plays compositions from all musical periods, focusing on the romantic period but also including 20th and 21st century music. Nearly 100 of the university's finest musicians bring these great symphonic works to life.
